Blog Interior Design
As the excitement of the Amara Interior Blog Award was slowly wearing off, I received the somewhat unexpected, but very welcome news that I am a finalist for yet another blog award – the Bloggers’ Lounge Blogger of the Year Award 2014 in the category Design and Interior! Woohooo!!!
Who would have thought, that one day, I would be an active member of the blogosphere, considering that only a couple of years ago I was somewhat of a technophobe. And what a journey it has been! I wrote my first blog post based on a hunch back in February 2014 and thus a new passion was born! I am therefore anything but a seasoned blogger and it’s been a steep learning curve for me dominated by the principle of ‘learning by doing’. Initially this meant endless hours on the Internet until the wee hours of the mornings, conducting research on ‚how to do this and how to do that…’ and eventually the realisation that writing an interesting post with good photography, always takes longer than expected…
Even though I enjoy the research and writing process, what I love most about blogging is the fact that I learn something new with every post I write. The learning, the tremendous support and encouragement from friends and family as well as my readers and the successes along the way are the key factors that motivate me to keep going.
Blogging has become an integral part of my business and also my life itself.
In fact, sometimes I feel as if my blog has got a life and path of its own and this is why this award would mean so much to me! The #BLAward is set up slightly differently compared to the previous award I competed for. This time I had to register for the competition and then the Bloggers’ Lounge team went through the hundreds of entries, to select the top 5 blogs in each category.
Thank you so much for your continuous support!
Gratefully yours,
Simone xx
