Interior Design Concepts, Mood Boards and Drawings
Prior to commencing any project, I develop an interior design concept, which defines the style, colours and layout of a space. The initial interior design concept development usually happens in my head. There are numerous kinds of triggers, such as something I had seen in the past, a comment from the client, a piece of furniture or art owned by the client or which I believe to suit the client’s style and needs or something I see in my surroundings, often times in nature. The source of inspiration is limitless as long as you keep an open eye and mind. Once the concept has somewhat formed in my head, I start putting it onto paper in the form of mood boards, concept boards, drawings, renderings and sample boards, so that I can present my ideas to the client.
