As seen through someone else’s eyes…

Interior Design Behind The Scenes

Swiss Interior Designer

It’s not like I want to brag, but I admit I was rather excited when I was nominated ‘Woman of the Week’ and invited for an interview in Zurich!

I was asked some unexpected questions, which really made me think and look at things from another perspective. In fact, I personally feel it helped me in getting to know myself and my work even better. Sometimes you just need to get out of your own head and see things through someone else’s eyes.

On the other hand, I must confess I subconsciously held my breath as I started reading the article, because it is somewhat nerve-wracking at first. As a self-employed interior designer, I really identify myself with my work and my company, somehow everything becomes ‘muddled’ up – my work defines me and I define my work… Therefore, one  cannot help but wonder ‘How do others perceive me?’

As I got towards the end of the article, I could slowly exhale… Needless to say, I was very pleased with the article. In fact, it was quite spot on and nicely summarised who I am and I certainly recognised myself in it.

All in all, it was a very rewarding experience and I am very grateful to Franziska Vonaesch of Businessmind for this opportunity.

I would like to invite you to read the article Globale Inspirationen einer Schweizer Innenarchitektin (in German only).

Happy reading!
