Switzerland
Switzerland may be a small country, but it offers a surprising variety of landscapes, culture and architecture. Much like the country itself, hotel design in Switzerland ranges from chalet style boutique hotels to hip and uber trendy city hotels. Throw in a few glamorous historic grand hotels dotted across the entire country and you truly are spoilt for choice.
In recent years Switzerland has really embraced the global trend for boutique and design hotels. Small hotels found in mountain villages and alongside the many lakes almost appear predestined as boutique hotels and many have been renovated and upgraded.
Whilst alpine chic remains popular in mountain resorts, there are also a growing number of hotels that stand out from the crowd. Simultaneously, many of the Belle Epoque hotels have been lovingly restored to their original glory with all mod-cons one would except from a luxury hotel.
Here you will find a curated selection of some of the most unique and sought-after hotels and resorts in Switzerland.
